Hard Floor Cleaning in Southport and Merseyside

Tile and grout, LVT, Karndean, Amtico, hardwood and laminate cleaned with a rotary scrubber and pH neutral products — the dirt and grease lifted out of the surface and the grout lines, not just mopped across them.

A mop cannot win against grout

Hard floors look easy to clean, which is why they get mopped and nothing more. The trouble is that a mop lifts some of the dirt and moves the rest around in the water, and that water dries where it settles — in the grout lines, the texture of the tile and the edges of the room. Do that for a few years and the floor looks dull and the grout looks grey, even though it is being cleaned every week.

How we clean hard floors

The floor is vacuumed first with a professional-grade machine. A rotary scrubber then works pH neutral solution into the surface and into the grout lines, and the dirty solution is extracted with hot water so it leaves the room with the machine rather than drying back into the floor.

pH neutral matters on hard floors. Strong general-purpose cleaners can dull a finish and, on some surfaces, break down the coating that is doing the protecting.

What we clean

Natural stone — marble, limestone, travertine and slate — is a different job, needing the stone identified first and often diamond pad polishing rather than cleaning. That is covered on our stone restoration page.

Why customers book us

Shane does the work himself, so the person who quotes your job is the person who turns up to do it. He explains what he is going to do before he starts, and cleans up after himself when he is finished.

Common questions
How is a hard floor cleaned?

The floor is vacuumed first with a professional-grade machine, then cleaned with a rotary scrubber that works the solution into the surface and the grout lines. The dirty solution is extracted with hot water rather than pushed around with a mop, so it leaves with the machine instead of drying back into the floor.

Which floors can you clean?

Ceramic and porcelain tile, grout, terracotta, vinyl, LVT, Karndean, Amtico, laminate and sealed hardwood. Natural stone such as marble, limestone, travertine and slate is a different job again, and that is covered on our stone restoration page.

Why do my grout lines still look dirty after mopping?

A mop moves dirty water across the floor and leaves it to dry in the lowest point, which is the grout. That is why grout darkens over time even in a house that gets mopped regularly. A rotary scrubber and extraction take that out instead of redistributing it.

Is it safe for pets and children?

Yes. We use pH neutral products throughout, and everything is extracted back off the floor as we go.

How long before I can walk on it?

Hard floors dry quickly, and we will tell you on the day what to expect for your floor. Where a room has to be back in use fast, say so when you book and we will plan around it.

What does it cost?

Hard floor cleaning starts at £90. The final price depends on the size of the floor, the surface and its condition. Quotes are free, with no hidden extras.

Which areas do you cover?

Southport and the surrounding towns of Merseyside and West Lancashire, including Birkdale, Ainsdale, Formby, Ormskirk, Burscough, Crosby, Maghull and Eccleston.
