The deep clean a home needs once the builders have finished. Building dust, plaster and paint splashes cleared from carpets, hard floors and surfaces, so the room is ready to live in rather than just finished.
A renovation is not finished when the trades leave. What they leave behind is a fine grey dust that has found its way into the carpet pile, along the skirting, into the texture of the hard floors and over every surface in the room — plus the plaster spots and paint splashes that come with the work.
It is the stage that makes the difference between a room that is technically finished and a room you can actually move back into.
Ordinary household dust sits on top of things. Building dust is far finer, so it works its way down into carpet and into the grain of a hard floor, and a domestic vacuum pushes most of it around instead of lifting it out. It also keeps falling for days, settling back onto everything that has just been wiped.
That is why the clean is worth doing properly, and worth doing once the dusty work is genuinely finished.
Shane does the work himself, so the person who quotes your job is the person who turns up to do it. He explains what he is going to do before he starts, and cleans up after himself when he is finished.

Clearing the building dust, plaster and paint splashes left behind by the work, from carpets, hard floors and surfaces, so the space is usable again. We will agree exactly what is included when we quote it.
Because it is far finer than household dust. It settles into carpet pile, into the texture of hard floors and along every edge, and a domestic vacuum tends to move it about rather than take it out. It also keeps reappearing for days as it drops out of the air, which is why the clean is best done once the dusty work is properly finished.
Once the dusty work is done and the trades are out. If the clean goes in while there is still sanding or cutting to come, the dust simply lands again.
It depends on the floor and the paint. Many splashes lift, but some — particularly on porous surfaces or where paint has been left a long time — cannot be removed without risking damage to the floor itself. We will look first and tell you what we think is realistic.
After build cleaning is priced individually, because no two jobs are left in the same state. The quote is free and there is no obligation.
